Words from Gilimbaa's Creative Director Riki Salam as he explains what this artwork represents, it's story and meaning in relation to the Corporate Express Reconciliation Action Plan journey.

"Tribes camp under the night sky, the coal embers glow silently as the cool desert air comes to rest. Awakened by lorikeet and kookaburra, the journey is long.

The sun rises high in the sky. The billabongs and the rockpools are a welcome relief. Coming together to trade knowledge of this land, sacred ceremonies, treasured pieces.

Rested and rejuvenated, the laughter, celebration, and dancing begins."
